ASUS AiCloud App Reviews

Could be better

The design is horrible, the app is slow and it crashes often. I really hope you change the design, instead of showing the list on the hole screen it only uses a small side part of it (ipad). With its icons it looks like a program from the 90s...

Great concept, horrible execution!

I love the idea however the software consistently crashes. Its so bad that it makes the software pretty much useless. I can connect to the router through my iPhone 5 (iOS 6.0.1) if Im at home and connected via wifi in the same network. When Im outside my network, loading up the program simply crashes it. FIX THE BUGS BEFORE RELEASE! Please update the software!

Good but needs improvements

Awesome to be able to access your media remotely but needs better audio support... Some movies give no audio for some reason. Also I cant seem to access my files through 3G only through a wifi network.

Uh, wheres the iphone 5 support?

Considering how long the iPhone 5 has been out and that the app was just updated, why no iPhone 5 support?

iPhone 5, 5s & 5c support

Works great and continuously updated but still no support for the larger iPhone screens. Come on Asus, iPhone 5 been out for a year now. Time to catch up.

Great app!

I use my Asus RT-n66u as a router and its fast and reliable. The app is easy to use. You can send a file from your usb plugged in the router to an email, sms, etc. Or just open a file with your iphone, ipad. Wow!

Works well but it needs to support Retina Display!

Retina has been out for years now theres no good excuse why this shouldnt have it.

Horrible App

Most of the time, this AiCloud app wouldnt connect to my Asus router. Occasionally when it does connect, it takes forever to open a document on my router attached HDD. A photo takes almost a minute to open. Even folders takes minted to be opened. Asus needs to fix the app and risk losing business to Netgear.

Steaming

Cant steam .... Just download are a like to the App Store to pay for some apps .....??

Out of date

You would think after spending $250 in a router they would have a top-end app to go along with it. Not so much.

Download fail

If it isnt ready for ios7, why not state it in the description.

Does what you expect with potential

This is a good application and I use it regularly. Has support for airplay and I dont experience choppy playback while streaming 1080p m4v on my home network. Dont use it outside my home though. I use it for video only. However: - It would be great to see subtitles support (I.e. Picks up a .srt file(s) with ability to toggle) as other players offer. - Crashes often while doing other things on the phone. Playback loses its position - Crashes often when seeking, playback loses its position - Very difficult to seek to a specific time. Needs a more granular slider control or set of controls (a go to time control) Keep up the good work and bug fixes! This app could be really great.

Security issues

I read that this application has some serious security issues Search google aicloud security I dont know if this true bit it does for sure concerns me To

Better than before but still buggy

As much as I like Asus products like RT-N66U wireless router, this app still is buggy. When I navigate through my server, it often ask me again the username and password, even if Ive already save them. Going back and forth solves the problem but still this is really annoying. I often need to do this to navigate through my files. On the other hand, the wake on LAN feature works surprisingly well. To be honnest, I only use this app for this purpose, then switch to Teamviewer to navigate in my PC! This app could be SO Much better.

Failed to launch

Every time I try to login the software kicks me out. Im using iPad air

Needs work!

I am using an ASUS RT-AC66U and although this is a great feature to have it does need some work. The app crashes constantly over wi-fi on the same network. Setup was simple and smooth. Fix the crashing and it gets 5 stars for sure.

Access to my media anywhere

Ive been using this new version for a few days and the version it replaced for a year or so. It has worked flawlessly. I keep a regularly synced copy of my iTunes library on the hard drive attached to the router.

Getting an error when trying to email shared link

Error: method not allowed.

Good for media access only.

The app works by design for access to your media. But thats it. If youre looking for a mobile app to give access to your router settings and options you are out of luck. Id like to see an app from Asus that allows me to manage my network without going to the IP address page. An app would make it much easier.

WD Live Media

It works as advertised, the only issue is wd live hub access is asking for password all the time, even there is none set. It works on pc just fine. I like it overall
